The Sacred Scarab design comes from ancient Egyptian mythology and represents rebirth and regeneration, and celestial rhythm. Just as the dung beetle rolls its food into its brood chamber in order to create new life, the sun "rolls" overhead and into the ground to be reborn each morning.
