About LaserTrees: From Festival Roots to Sacred Decor
The Origin: A Rebellion Against Mass Production
LaserTrees didn't start in a boardroom; it started as a vision of freedom.
In 2015, founder Shawn Kessler was the central cog in a massive manufacturing machine. He was overseeing 60 employees and managing millions of dollars in production for a company that prioritized volume over soul. Despite running 13 industrial lasers and managing entire product lines, he felt disconnected from the art he loved.
He was a veteran of the music and art festival scene—a community that valued expression, connection, and energy. Yet, walking through the vendor villages, he noticed a gap: there were very few high-quality, meaningful accessories that were actually affordable.
He had a vision: To take the precision of the lasers he had mastered and use them to create lightweight, energetic talismans out of high-quality hardwoods.
LaserTrees was born from this desire to create "wearable energetic art" at a price point that his community could afford.

The Evolution of the Talisman
What began as simple geometric wooden pendants has evolved into a study of energy and intention.
We view our jewelry as more than just accessories; they are tools for spiritual growth. Over the years, our designs have grown into complex Magical Talismans that combine:

Sacred Geometry: The fundamental patterns of nature that resonate with the subconscious.

High-Frequency Gemstones: We don't just glue stones into wood. We design specific "gestalt" combinations—grouping stones to amplify single intentions or align specific chakras.

Gestalt Effects: The belief that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A geometry + a gemstone + your intention = a powerful energetic shift.

From Wearables to Wall Art
As our mastery of the laser evolved, so did our canvas. We took the same principles we applied to our pendants—layering, depth, and material integrity—and expanded them to the walls.
Today, LaserTrees is a full-scale art studio nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Nevada City, CA. We apply that same "festival spirit" of connection and wonder to high-end interior decor, custom signage, and fine art installations.

Meet the Artist
Shawn Kessler | Founder & Lead Designer Shawn brings a unique duality to his work. With a background in high-volume industrial manufacturing and corporate branding (dating back to 2008), he possesses the technical rigor to engineer complex, multi-layered structures. But as an artist and festival veteran, he infuses those structures with organic flow and spiritual intent.
When he isn't designing new gemstone arrays or running the lasers, he is consulting for wellness brands and boutique hotels, helping them define their physical identity through sacred design.
